Quantum Air Fibre have been shortlisted for the ‘Using Tech for Good’ Award at the 2020 Lincolnshire Technology and Innovation Award.
These annual awards hosted by CityX celebrate businesses and individuals across the county of Lincolnshire who evidence innovation, excellence and ability within their industry, through 18 awards categories.
Following the fast growth of the businesses wireless broadband services, which saw Quantum Air Fibre earn a Gold accreditation from the UK Wireless Internet Service Providers Association (UKWISPA), we are now collaborating with local Parish councils to offer fibre broadband to remote areas of the county.
Working with the UK Government we are delivering free connections to eligible residents and businesses, utilising the £1,500 Rural Gigabit Voucher and covering the remaining cost of installation ourselves. Network planning has been submitted to start installation of the new full fibre broadband network, capable of connection speeds up to (and exceeding) 1 Gbps.
Although the companies service offer has expanded the ambition to bring faster, more reliable broadband to communities and businesses that are struggling to achieve suitable speeds has remained the same; in addition to providing a better, cheaper service to people unhappy with their current supplier. Alongside the free upgrade to internet networks for communities across the county, as part of our ‘Communities Connected’ project community hubs – libraries, town halls, community centres etc – within the network area would be considered for free services.
A very proud moment in the short history of our young and ambitious Lincolnshire based company.
Thank you immensely for the nomination and we look forward to doing the county proud through our exceptional FTTP connections and customer service.Rhys Evans, Head of Business Development for Quantum Air Fibre
Winners will be announced at the 6th annual awards ceremony on Thursday 1st October at The Epic Centre, Lincolnshire Showground. Keep your fingers crossed for us!
